How to use the search page.
To use the search page, simply select criteria from the drop down
lists on the page and enter key words into the text boxes to narrow the results
of the search. By default, if no criteria is entered on the page and the search
button is clicked, the results of the search will contain all the records in
the database.
Tips:
- The key words entered in the text boxes will result in any record that contains
the specified key word in the field it was entered. For example, if you enter
the number 25 in the size text box, the results will contain only records
with the number 25 anywhere within the size field of a record (i.e. 19x25,
25x38, 25, .25, etc..)
- The two range fields of "Year" and "Price Range" work
in the following way. If you only enter a value in the first of the two text
boxes (Low Number) then your results will show only records greater than or
equal to that value. If you only enter a value in the second of the two text
boxes (High Number) then your search will result in only records less-than
or equal-to that value. And of course if you enter a low value in the first
text box and a high value in the second text box your results will show only
records in-between the two values.
